Our mission at Helix Courier Limited is to provide the best Courier, Messenger, and Direct Drive service in the London, Ontario area. We understand the importance of providing the best service possible, while maintaining competitive rates.
Our interaction with our customers is via real live customer service representatives answering the telephones; there is no automated answering system to deal with here. We treat you the way we like to be treated!
Sharon Coll is our Office Manager and Sales Representative. She will work with you to match our service levels to your delivery needs. Sharon loves to be challenged and looks forward to quoting on your delivery needs.
The very first Helix delivery vehicle was a 1957 Volkswagen. That was on September 4, 1968. The next vehicle was a 1964 Volkswagen. And so it went. In the years after Sieg and Al Pedde started Helix, there were VWs galore.
After being driven what always seemed to be far too few miles (that view was coloured by our budget, not by the reality that the cars were sturdy and dependable), they invariably ended up at Corey’s Auto Wreckers. Since initially all of our vehicles were painted bright orange, there was a sea of orange metal at Corey’s in those days.
Sieg was 23 years old and his brother Alfred was 18, when Helix started in 1968. Sieg has dedicated his life to building Helix Courier to the successful business it is today. Alfred moved on to other interests in 1985 but Sieg is still here.
In the early days, Helix was strictly a messenger service — local door-to-door delivery in London. Now, Helix works with other courier companies collaboratively to allow us to deliver your goods around the world. We’ve come a long way. Helix now offers dedicated Medical Delivery Service and Company Driver Relief to supplement your fleet if drivers are ill or on vacation.
You tell us what you need and we’ll (excuse the pun) deliver.
Some of our drivers and inside staff have been with us for over thirty years. Our dedicated staff knows the courier business and what really counts in our mission to serve our customers.
Helix has always been a company with a constant future. We don’t want to take over the world; we just like to provide a better service, more efficiently, in the London, Ontario area. We are also continuously taking new steps to help us communicate with our customers and our drivers more efficiently. Above all, we want to continue to offer good, old-fashioned, dependable, reasonably-priced service to our customers. That’s you. You are responsible for our success. The Helix Courier Limited Messenger Newsletter
The first issue of the Helix Courier Limited Messenger newsletter was issued in 1985. We felt it was a fun way to keep our customers entertained and at the same time provide them with some useful factoids.
We have discovered that customers eagerly await the arrival of our newsletter and love to read it on their coffee breaks.
